Émilien Séguin, CEO
Mr. Séguin is an engineer and geologist having completed his studies at
Laval University in 1955. Émilien Séguin is a founding member of
l'Ordre des Géologues du Québec. Mr.
Séguin is president and founder of Minorex Mining Specialists Inc., a geological
and mining consulting firm having been active in Africa from 1983 to 2003. Mr.
Séguin was director of S.E.S Mining Group from 1975 to 1980. This later Group,
financed by SERU Nuclear of France, Eldorado Nuclear (Gov. of Canada) and
Société de Développement de la Baie James (Gov. of Quebec), was mandated to
search for uranium deposits throughout the James Bay territory.
Guy Girard, Vice President Finance & Director
Mr. Girard holds a finance degree (obtained in 1985) and a master’s degree
in finance from Laval University (obtained in 1992). From 1985 to 1998, Mr.
Girard worked as a representative, director and Vice-President for various
Canadian securities firms. In 1998, Mr. Girard founded Avensys Corporation Inc.
and was its Vice-President of Finance until August 2003. During this period,
while being responsible for the financial operations of Avensys Corporation Inc.
and of its five subsidiaries, Mr. Girard worked and realized many acquisitions
and financing transactions and organized the sale of the company to a U.S. based
entity.
From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Girard was President of Cogivar
Corporation and Vice-President of Pamérica Corporation, two capital pool
companies which have recently completed their qualifying transactions in order
to qualify under the TSX Venture Exchange regulations. Mr. Girard is presently a
partner of Sugarhill Capital, a Montreal based merger and acquisitions
consulting firm and member of many audit and compensation committees of public
companies. He is also Vice-President of Finance and director of Jourdan
Resources inc, which is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Marc Labreque, Secretary & Director
Mr. Labrecque completed his business administration studies, finance option
(D.E.C.) in 1987. From 1992 to 2000, he owned and operated a Loeb and Provigo
supermarket. Mr. Labrecque was also regional manager for Loblaw from 2000 to
2004. For the past 5 years he has been active in mining exploration and has
managed exploration programs throughout James Bay and Côte-Nord.
Marc Labreque is Secretary and Director of Jourdan
Resources Inc. and also President and CEO of Gee-Ten Ventures Inc., publicly
traded on the Toronto Venture Exchange.
Yves Grou, Director
Mr. Grou is a Chartered Accountant, receiving his Bachelor in Commerce
degree from McGill University. He is a member of the Quebec Institute of
Chartered Accountant. He was co-founder in 1980 and a partner until 2004 of
Grou, La Salle & Associates CA (“GLA”), based in Montreal (Quebec), an
accounting firm offering audit and accounting services, with a strong emphasis
to financial and corporate reorganization and the implementation of
international corporate structures. The firm grew from two original partners to
a staff of over 50. He developed a Business valuation expertise, having several
high-profile clients.
At GLA, Mr. Grou coordinated and lead the reverse take-over process related to
several public companies, having successfully completed several transactions
with mining, oil and gas, telecommunications and medical devices companies of
which some were located in France, Cuba, Thailand, West Africa and China. In
some cases, he acted as interim CFO to ensure the proper transition. He
completed the sale of GLA he co-founded to a major international accounting firm
in 2004.
Prior to 1980, Mr. Grou worked with Ernst & Young (Montreal) for 3 years. From
1980 to 2000, Mr. Grou was a part-time professor in the Accounting and Finance
Program at McGill University. He also worked with the Federal government in the
Procurement Department for the advanced program in financial statement analysis
and cost accounting. He sat on the Board of Directors of several public natural
resources companies.
Marcel Bergeron, Director
Member of the Order of Chartered Accountants and the Certified Management
Accountants, Mr. Bergeron started his career at Petrie Raymond L.P.P.,
specializing in small to medium size businesses. After a 30-year career and
several senior management positions, Mr. Bergeron joined Devimco Inc., a
commercial real estate development company, as General Manager he took part in
important financings and real estate transactions. He was a Director and member
of the Audit Committee of Strateco Resources Inc., and Matamec Explorations Inc.
He was also Director and member of the Audit Committee of MDN Inc., from 2007 to
2008, and Fairstar Explorations Inc., from 1995 to 2005. |
